![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thank you. Fascinating but grim reading. Deck/Cabin Boys and Buglers. and an ATC cadet. Stupid of me to forget the Wavy Navy, maybe some kind of dim assumption/hope going on in my head that the boys would be somehow safer than the rest of the crew... Of course, they weren't. ![]() So who's the 91 year old? Cheers, Adam.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Cheers, Does anyone know more on the circumstances of the Duke of Connaught's death? A brief look implies peaceful. Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Seems an odd inclusion on CWGC, or are Field Marshalls (or even Dukes etc. with military service) included as a matter of course?

![]() ![]() | And others, above a certain rank, if died of any cause during the commemoration period, but I believe the rule only came into force in 1940something. So dying between whatever that date is and 31.12.1947 qualifies.

![]() ![]() | UK Civilian war deaths 1939-1947. This does not include quite a number who's age is given in months, rather than years (usually under 3 years old) - I'm still trying to count those. 1 53 0.08 2 653 1.01 3 678 1.05 4 610 0.94 5 726 1.12 6 542 0.84 7 486 0.75 8 502 0.78 9 520 0.80 10 550 0.85 11 538 0.83 12 560 0.87 13 611 0.94 14 682 1.05 15 823 1.27 16 960 1.48 17 1076 1.66 18 993 1.54 19 942 1.46 20 888 1.37 21 694 1.07 22 589 0.91 23 613 0.95 24 731 1.13 25 783 1.21 26 845 1.31 27 804 1.24 28 895 1.38 29 877 1.36 30 1121 1.73 31 880 1.36 32 1116 1.73 33 978 1.51 34 1011 1.56 35 1125 1.74 36 1103 1.71 37 1048 1.62 38 1051 1.62 39 1037 1.60 40 1168 1.81 41 952 1.47 42 1055 1.63 43 958 1.48 44 934 1.44 45 1126 1.74 46 951 1.47 47 935 1.45 48 1087 1.68 49 1021 1.58 50 1238 1.91 51 845 1.31 52 1105 1.71 53 922 1.43 54 997 1.54 55 1033 1.60 56 999 1.54 57 910 1.41 58 959 1.48 59 954 1.47 60 1153 1.78 61 809 1.25 62 898 1.39 63 880 1.36 64 856 1.32 65 954 1.47 66 679 1.05 67 703 1.09 68 650 1.00 69 623 0.96 70 697 1.08 71 452 0.70 72 580 0.90 73 517 0.80 74 472 0.73 75 397 0.61 76 385 0.60 77 285 0.44 78 310 0.48 79 231 0.36 80 241 0.37 81 147 0.23 82 171 0.26 83 148 0.23 84 160 0.25 85 100 0.15 86 94 0.15 87 69 0.11 88 40 0.06 89 38 0.06 90 34 0.05 91 20 0.03 92 18 0.03 93 12 0.02 94 7 0.01 95 2 0.00 96 5 0.01 97 1 0.00 98 2 0.00 99 1 0.00
