Pre War Germany-Nurberg Ring Construction

The following link shows photographs of the construction of the Nurberg Ring which I understand was a Public Works project undertaken to pump money into the economy:

I'm guessing that these pictures are larger than what you want to see, but I don't know how to reduce them. Sorry if I broke the rules.

Great photos. I love those old sport and touring cars. They are all right-hand drive.

The inscription on the second looks like "View of Quidellbach from the Nürburgring" (Blick vom "Nürburgring" auf Quidellbach).

I was hoping someone would take these pictures and produce a modern picture of that scene today. All of the pictures have writing on the back and may describe as jacobtowne points out above the location.

Just been looking at lap times for the old circuit. (Remember the mad German lady van-driver from Top Gear?)
Nordschleife fastest lap times - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

One of the most memorable events for me of the old circuit was Niki Lauda's crash in 1976.

Map here showing how big the old circuit was compared to the new one.
