![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Admiralty Citadel, Horseguards. Strolling back from the Cabinet war rooms and Churchill Museum today (Finally got around to visiting, rather good) A friend and I fell to speculating on the Concrete Citadel on Horseguards, built during 1940-41 and described by Churchill as a "vast monstrosity which weighs upon the Horse Guards Parade" I can find little else on this place envisioned as the site of England's last stand, even Subteranea Britannica seems to have very little. Anyone got any more information on the layout, Plans for usage, armament, development process etc. ? Cheers, Adam.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It is still in use as an MOD building but I did think there'd be a bit more out there on it's intended wartime usage, there are other fortified sites in the capital that have much better coverage... but then they don't overlook Horseguards do they...
