![]() | It looks like a panzer crewmember but he looks really young. And if he is a panzer crewmamber what is he doing there ? If he is a Hitler youth maybe they are sending them to concentration camps just to watch the horrors and kill without thinking about the human life.I mean training there psyhic (sorry i don't know how to write the word right).I hope you understand what i mean, i don't know if the germans had such practic but who knows, they were sick bustards. If this picture looks distressing to you, why don't you look some pictures of Japanese invasion in China ? They are brutal! |

![]() | It does look like a Panzer uniform but it unusual to find a non Einsatzgruppen member being allowed in an area where this genocide was taking place. The subject might be a Waffen SS type which would fit into his acceptance into this group. Many Wehrmacht officers soldiers found themselves accidentally in an area where these squads were operating and were ordered to withdraw.Consequently leakage of facts took place from those who expressed horror at what was taking place in the name of Germany. These facts were liable to be discussed and circulated among those who did not support the genocide policy and excesses in the East. They did find their way back to the German homeland and what was happening in the East, supposed to be a closely guarded secret was not the secret the policy makers hoped it would be. The photograph reflects the arrogance of those taking part and the psychological reasons why they would wish to be seen to participating in the acts. Many of these photographs were found in the personal property of those captured or taken from the German dead.Such photographs occupied pride of place in an Einsatzgruppen wallet. I would not exclude the Wehrmacht from similar excesses in the East especially in operations against any civilian group that could be passed off as partisans. I've seen enough pictures and I have an imagination.

Kenneth Lee - after being shot down on the 18th August 1940. We had a squadron commander who believed in the head-on attack. 'The next raid we go up to intercept, we will do a head-on attack,' he said. So he attacked an Me 110 head-on and I'm afraid Jerry got the better of him and all we found of him was his shirt! ![]() | I thought that in the early days Einstazgruppe executions often attracted crowds of spectating German soldiers. I saw an interview with an anti-Nazi officer in a TV documentary about the German opposition to Hitler in which he described seeing one, although he came across it by chance. Apart from the actual murderer most of the Germans in the picture, including the young man in the black uniform, are from the Army, not the SS. This can be seen by the fact that their uniforms carry the eagle on the right breast; the SS had it on the left sleeve.

Hitler's SS mascot was Jewish | the Daily Mail I think that the white uniform is a summer uniform. Are you sure that the man in the last photo is SS? The site linked below says that army panzer troops wore the Totenkopf (Death's Head) collar patches. Heer black Panzer uniform

![]() ![]() ![]() | I edited a pic one time that someone had labeled as a Sherman tank when it clearly was a Chafee. The next day, it was back as a Sherman and I had a nasty gram about editing pics that "I know nothing about!" Eventually, sanity prevailed and it was finally labeled correctly by someone or a committee. |
