Hitler Youth In The Concentration Camps

Probably one of the most powerful Holocaust photos of World War 2 this photo shows a member of the Einsatzgruppe about to shoot a Jewish man in Ukraine. Behind him there are members of the German military, the German labor service, and the Hitler Youth. Did Hitler Youth work in the concentration camps? What was their role if they did? On the back of this photograph it says, "The last Jew in Vinnitsa." I thought only a few German guards would be there during such executions but it appears that this one in particular is a large social gathering. Was this common during the Holocaust?

I don't think there were any Hitler Youth in the camps. If there were some there, it is likely to be a coincidence.

Which do you think are 'Hitler Youth'?

The youngest there looks like a military musician, bit they all seem to be in military uniforms of different types.

It said on wikipedia that there were Hitler Youth in the photo. I'm guessing the Hitler Youth member is that boy who's just right behind the Einsatzgruppe soldier's arm. You see him?

What a distressing picture. Bastards! Couldn't give a toss what uniform they are wearing.

Oh, yeah I know wikipedia doesn't have a lot of accurate information nowadays but oddly enough I've read in another Holocaust books about this same photo that there was a Hitler Youth Member in the crowd. I've circled who I think the Hitler Youth Member could possibly be but he looks more like a Panzer crewmember. Maybe the books I read were wrong or something? If it is a Panzer crewmember, how much were the Panzer Corps involved in the Holocaust? What did they do?
