The Cohen Sisters

Today's Scottish Daily Express carries the story of Annie Cohen, newly reunited with her two sisters, Judic and Lea. The sisters were separated in 1942 in Paris when they were helped to escape the roundup of the Jews and their transportation to the East. Annie got a computer for Christmas and through the Yad Vashem site, made contact with her sisters.
Lovely story to start the New Year with!

The three ladies are off to visit Auschwitz soon - to remember family lost. It just made me feel good that they managed to meet up again before ot was too late!

I think they'll find it painful and cathartic at the same time. And they have a lot of grandchildren to talk about.
