![]() | One method not mentioned here for estimating the number of Jewish deaths (as opposed to the total body count) is through population censuses prior to the war and post war along with the number of synagogs and other such Jewish businesses etc in the various nations of Europe. In many cases fairly good records existed and continued to exist post war of just how these nations were depopulated of Jews. |

For the events of the Holocaust and the Great War documentary evidence exists, so do eye witness accounts, photographs and films. Both subjects have been examined by historians for many years, but only the Holocaust is questioned. The answer to me is obvious, especially when reading the other "information" posted on "revisionist" sites. The graves of the missing of the Great War exist, they are the fields of France and Flanders. Remains turn up all the time through agricultural and building activity. The mass graves of the Jews exist but are untouched by development or agriculture. Archeological investigation of both events is a controversial subject. You only have to read some of the exchanges on the Great War Forum to see how strongly people feel after 90 years, when non but a handful of the original participants are still alive. The archeology of the Holocaust is even more fraught. Yet it has been carried out at Belzec, a report can be found here BELZEC ARCHAEOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS http://www.HolocaustResearchProject.org There is more than ash out there, but do we need to dig up every site to prove that people were murdered ? regards Baz

![]() ![]() | Maybe Winston Churchill put it best: "A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject".

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Baz, Some of my family members are many of those Great War Missing, Arras Memorial and Le Touret so I know about those. Record keeping for a well organised army is rather different to keeping track of a widespread civilain population. (see you on the GWF then? My GWF Profile.) If I want to know about "Pte Fred Bloggs" of the "1st Blankshires" in 1915 that is easily done. But what about if I wanted to find out about (let's pretend) "Ovadya Liberman" from a small Eastern European village last known to be living there in 1941? Is there a huge data-base of the Jewish Missing? Perhaps if there was the arguements would end, wouldn't they? Quote:
I know there is more than ash out there, I was refering to the burning of the bodies to get rid of them and therefore any evidence. Last edited by Owen; 26-02-2007 at 10:56 PM.
