24th Field Regiment in Italy

Came across this photo in the online IWM archive which shows a M7 Priest of my father's Battery (22 Battery) in Italy in May 1944. Was quite thrilled to find it as it shows the unique Battery Symbol on the vehicle - two swans. The Italians thought they were ducks!

Thanks Malcolm - the unit also published a regimental history in the 1950s, which I managed to get a copy of some years ago. It has a photo of a 22 Battery Priest going into Rome. My father was in the Sherman OP tank for 22 Battery, so sadly none of these photos are of him.
