Very nice Zerk, Brand spanking new out the factory. I did mine in a sorta 3 colour, with whitewash Russian front. Quite a hard kit if i remember right. your looks sweet., all the wheels nice and straight.

Very interesting vehicle and ahead of its time, Try looking at the large amount of wheeled Armoured cars and APC's now, especailly in 't'other countries.

Zerk,

Heres my 234. Just about finished. Airfix 1/72, realy bad kit even by Airfix standard, really was no details whatsoever. All detail is either scratch built, AA MG mount, all the gun gubbins, bumper, aerial and mount, jerry can straps and mounts or raided from the parts box, radio jack, etc.

I was getting a bit bored with the standard grey and read somewhere that later on many where just left in primer, which will of been Red Lead. I used hammerite red primer, the rest of the paint is a mixture of humbrols and various acrylics. The rusted through guards are done with a hot needle, and touched up with acrylic and pastel.

I am getting really happy with my modelling, I feel its at least as good as some you see being shown or on sites. Even more so thatI refuse to spend any money.

I am thrilled to bits with it. I wanna do another now.
Kev

Guys, you can be rightly proud of those kits. They're great!

Kev, Airfix, being Airfix have produced a vehicle that did not really exist. Billed as a SdKfz 234/4 you will notice that it doesn't have the full length mudguards present on that vehicle. It is an odd mixture of SdKfz 233 mudguards with the superstructure of the 234 with the Pak 40. Nice job though.
Here are my pair of 1/72nd Pumas. The far one is Italeri and the closest one, with the steering wheels is by Roden.

Hence my liking for hacking it up. The lenght is not bad buts Its far to wide, I think the gun is a bit small too.

Lovely work Bod.

Never noticed, but on the early split mudguard there is a T shaped access door. Assuming this was deleted with the single guard model. Assuming the only access is through the tiny little turret hatches, Does the driver have access??

The side doors were not there on the 234. I'm not sure if that large panel in the glacis was a knockout hatch for the driver..
