Opel Blitz / flak38 A Work in Progress

I have documented a recent build and thought you might like to see the whole process. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you like, if this process gets to be a bore let me know and I'll jump right to the "finished" pics.
I had this Italeri Opel Blitz 3ton type 'S' truck in the closet for about 25 years and finally decided to build it:

Even though most of it won't be visible when the kit is completed, I felt like I still needed to thoroughly paint the chassis, engine and drivetrain components:

Rough fitted the body together and started on the DunkelGrau base coat:

A bit more paint here and there. Stippling with a fine point Grummbacher using the dark grey base color. Decals applied at this time as well.
