![]() | Very nice Gerry. I assume the old Tamiya kit? I've got the kit in my "stash" and plan to build shortly. Are those kit decals or some you made or picked up?

Actually it is the work of my good friend Bracken, ex North Irish Horse, who lives in Northern Ireland and who is an artist by trade. You are correct, he made it from a Tamiya kit making the decals himself. Modellers will be happy to know that decals for Churchills deployed in Africa and Italy are on the way - the first being for Ballyrashane, a Mark V, the last tank I crewed. With the volume of interest now being shown since the introduction of a range of Churchill kits by Cromwell, I have constructed an article on insignia - particularly useful to those modelling an Na75 or a German cupola mounted Mark Ics, which were only deployed in Italy. See:http://www.nih.ww2site.com/nih/Articles/Insignia.html All the best, Gerry | |

![]() | Gerry, perhaps you, or your Irish friend, could answer a question for me? What color were British open topped vehicles painted? Specifically I'm wondering about a Priest, a Daimler Scout Car, and a American half-track in British service. I've heard either all white, white where it can't be seen from the air, or all the base color of the vehicle. Any information on that?
