Memory Map WW2

Some of you may be aware of the new Great War Digital trench maps online system for WW1 maps. This use the Memory Map system as its base, and it is possible that a WW2 version for Normandy might become available sometime in the future. In the meantime, you can buy the IGN data for Memory Map covering Normandy from anyone that sells Memory Map.

One of the features of Memory Map is being able to turn the maps into 3D images. Some examples below for Pegasus Bridge and Hill 112. Hope they are of interest?

Great maps Paul, quite impressive. There is nothing like a visual display of the battlefield topography.

Thanks Otto, glad you liked them. When/if we get round to doing a WW2 version of this software, it will be possible to project the Bigot maps of the D Day defences, for example, in this way. And that will be quite something. It will also make them 100% GPS compatible, which means they can be used 'in the field' to locate long forgotten places, bunker, MG pits etc.

I'm not Otto.

GPS is my favorite way to drive, makes A to B simple. A live GPS version of this would be great, I hope you get this done.

And I just noticed, who zapped my sig?
