memories of old men.

is it not ok to post memories of old friends in their 80,s even if those memories are not written in books, and or upset other members feelings.i think it is.

Well it depends what you are posting 4th. For example the memories of a vet would always be welcome on the board given that we have a number in our ranks already. HOWEVER, I would urge caution if the memories are solely a critique of the perceived inadequacies of Allies performances during particular operations. I am sure though that the memories contain more than this!

Sounds ominous...

Post away Wilts, the only borderlines are fairly standard ones like Racism, denial etc. (along with any other objections that members may raise of course, but these can always be thrashed out in discussion if needs be).

Yes, Jump on out there, Lee, I love hearing of the mudane, day to day activities of soldiers as well as the exciting things. We need to remember what each of those men did.

the post about winkling out jerry from 101 divs positions was told to me in a bloody angy way,he knew the urgency about getting up to arnhem, even if the he thought the yanks did not.this again is the view of a man who is in his 80,s.if it upsets american members i am again sorry.yours lee.

An angry personal view could never be discounted if it was the individual view of that soldier.

Ah, I see now, you're referring to the other thread on bastogne?
Lee, there's no need to start a new thread to discuss it, just say what you feel on the relevant thread and it'll stop confusion for the slow of thought like myself.
I didn't realise you were talking about the bastogne thing. On that thread It wasn't clear to me that these were your mate's opinions & impression of the action that you were posting.

Cheers,
Adam.

I'm not sure you have posted them yet Lee. Or at least they were one or two vague statements. Why dont you get your pal to sign up to the site?
