Photos taken in 1944

Have received some photos from a friend in St Michielsgestel Holland which should be quite enjoyable for several people.!!!! They were taken in October 1944. more to follow.

Great stuff 51H,
particularly nice to see what looks like an unstaged 'in action' shot, and pictures of the armoured bulldozers can be few and far between too.
(& thanks for this flow of film and images from you recently, all quality stuff & most enjoyable )

I'm sure I've seen that Challenger on the other day.
Have these photos been published before or are they from a private album?

Yes all from St Michiels Gestel, Holland. The gentleman who sent them to me (as well as the video of 51st HD moving through) has them in his collection. He was a 10 year old boy at the time and now a amateur historian, Not sure as to where he got them from. They are originals as I saw them when I was in Holland in May this year. As promised he has sent me copies, bless him.

He's not the only one. Excellent stuff. There are some airborne helmets mixed in with those troops clearing the road.
