Post Unpublished Arromanches Photos

Had an email from the owner of this blog who has put up some very interesting photos of Arromanches and soldiers/units who were there:

Thumbs up

I wish I'd found 300 WW2 photographs in my Granddad's basement...

Love the one of the chaps smoking next to the mine field & no smoking sign, but that cheesy grin from the life-jacketed Dday Bren Gunner on page one makes it the pick of the bunch for me.

What some utterly brilliant photos.
Someone tell Rich P about the DR on the Aerial in there.
I expect Iain would like to see the Redcaps too.

'Tommies in helmets', for me. All shapes and sizes. Lovely shot. An excellent archive. Thanks for sharing.

Great photos, the RN Sub-Lieutenant looks very businesslike and is exactly what you expect a Navy officer to look like.

I missed this thread first time around. Thanks chaps.

Wonderful uniform detail shots. Wonder if he's got any more motor-bikey pictures ?

I've just posted a couple of 1944 motorbike pictures on the blog - thanks a lot for visiting the blog and for your comments on this forum.

As you might have understood, my sole aim is to share these photographs with as many people as possible as a tribute to the men who sailed across the Channel to free Europe from German rule.
