I have a couple of questions.

First, what was a Kings Badgeman?

Last, what was the seamanship phase of the RM training called. My RN seamanship training in 1962 was called Evolutions, I think.

I have often seen the phrase 'Kings Badgeman' refer to those discharged due to sickness or wounds, and received the King's Badge for disabled/discharge servicemen. See:

The veteran I spoke to was using the term Kings Badgeman to refer to the top Recruit or Platoon, still not sure.
