![]() | Operation Tonga & Mallard Hello I have the list of all the Glider pilots involved in Tonga and Mallard. It's a 8 sheets document named OGP CREW LIST N°1 and classified Top Secret. The list is organized by mission and squadron. There is the list of pilot and copilot with their army serial number but, at the begining of each line, there is another number with no indication... for example : DEAD STICK, (D-1), LZ "X" and "Y" "C" Squadron 660 4749793 S/Sgt. Guthrie L. 7895376 S/Sgt Pearson, S 661 6897785 S/Sgt Hobbs, P 1449953 S/Sgt Boland, C.P etc... What does 660 mean? which is the link between this number and the glider LJ326 - Chalk number 95 which was the one piloted by Pearson / Guthrie ?? Or a link between this number and the Halifax A-T piloted by W/O Bain from 298 squadron which was the tow plane of the same glider ?? Any information will be helpfull. Thanks |
