Red face Mysterious badge

Hello,

As I have been told by my parents, this badge was kept by my grandmother after her brother recovered it in WW2, however this is all I know,
now it has been passed down to me due to my keen interest in WW2, however i have tried numerous times to try and find out what this medal is, and what kind of person it would have belonged to (luftwaffe maybe?)
It is 7.5cm long and is blue enamel. It has hallmark "AJS", 3 lines, a lion and another which looks like an upright anchor.
I apologise for the picture quality.
Thanks for your help.

Steph.

lets try and have a guess then shall we.....bad photo, but you say it has an ANCHOR on it?.....well what about a pilot wings set for a branch of the naval air service, the rescue flottilla that operated in the channel, or even, a badge given to the unit of divebombers that was slated for transfer to the GRAF ZEPPLIN?........Dont forget, this is also pssibly a rank badge (LAC) for a leading aircraftsman of a naval airservice, ground crew possibly....

We can guess can't we?.....make a competetion out of it....

I've never seen that medal before. Whatever it is, it's extremely rare.

Just a thought; I wonder if it is a war-effort badge? For helping with the war effort, perhaps in this case to do with aircraft? I know the Germans had them in the Great War?
