Wilts,

I too having nothing against ageism, but I have found the info', you are sort of correct. 2 brothers, Billy and Jock both killed in WW2.

Being a big Arsenal Fan I am disappointed I had a hole in my knowledge of the club, so thank you for helping me plug that gap

Steve

Lee,

no offence taken, if you knew how much trouble I had posting the links correctly, you would have seen I would have been happy in my ignorance

Steve

Bob Wilson lost his two elder two brothers in the service with the Royal Air Force when he was a mere toddler.

John (Jock) Primrose Wison was 19 when he was lost as a Sergeant Pilot on a Rubarb sortie over France on 27 February 1942 whilst serving with No 222 Squadron. He is interred at Pihen Les Guines Commual Cemetery which a short distance from Calais off the A16 motorway. At 19, he was not old enough to serve as a pilot in the summer of 1940.

Bob's second brother William (Billy) Primrose Wilson was 20 when he was lost in Bomber Commands' Battle of Berlin whilst serving as an Air Gunner with a No 7 Squadron Stirling on 16 December 1943.Shot down near to the German border, Sergeant Wilso lies in Reichswald Forest Cemetery, having being reinterred there after the war.

Apparently the two elder boys excelled in sports whilst at school and Bob Wilson was the youngest of 5 boys and a girl in this family.

Hey there!

I must say it has been a while since I last posted anything on this forum. I am looking for the full names of 12 airmen from 600 Squadron. I am hoping, , ,can someone tell the first names of the following airmen?

P/O P Baker
P/O JC Bull
Sgt RJ Coombs
P/O HR Cowley
Sgt RM Holland
Sgt PE Huckin
P/O BD Larbalestier
Sgt ES Lawler
Sgt SP Le Rougetel
Sgt EW Moulton
F/O AJ Rawlence
P/O WD Wiseman

If you don't know them, that's fine too. there is no rush.
