BBC Sound Recordings

Does anyone know if they can be listened to on-line or ordered from somewhere?
Can't find any reference at BBC or British Library websites.
Perhaps I'm not looking in the right place.
Just I'd like to hear this one, as mentioned in War Diary of 2 Wilts .

25/4/1944 Anzio, Italy.
A quiet day.
This evening VAUGHAN THOMAS , the BBC Recorder, visited 'C' Coy, and managed to get all the needed effects-MG, mortars and arty of both sides firing, not to mention a Nightingale. He also heard a patrol being briefed before setting out.

PsyWar.Org will become famous soon enough
This looks like the first place to start:

Radio broadcasts

Quote:
The Sound Archive provides a listening service for its major collection of radio recordings. It is the main public access point in the UK for recordings of BBC radio broadcasts and although this material is not for sale, hire or loan you can arrange a listening appointment for research or study purposes.
