London Gazette queries

Owen

Sorry to go "off thread" (apologies to "Bomber") but seeing that you are au fait with using the London Gazette (which I have never been able to get to grips with) may I ask a favour?

My old SSM. "Busty Thomas" was awarded the MM some time before 1945 and I would dearly like to know how he earned this decoration.

The only clues I can offer is that he was in the 4th Queen's Own Hussars at the time of the award.

Anything you can offer would be appreciated

Thanks

Ron

ps This might be him, I can't trace where I got this particular data.
I've tried writing to various 4 QOH Regimenta sources but to date I have not had the courtesy of a reply

Thomas, William
Warrant Officer Class 2
7540821
Royal Armoured Corps, 4 Queen's Own Hussars
Foreign to British: USA
Bronze Star
20 March 1947

Ron that info was from NA
The National Archives | DocumentsOnline | Image Details

Do record of MM, just US Bronze Star.

This is annoying.
I searched for him on right date as in TNA info but no luck.
