![]() ![]() | London Gazette queries Owen Sorry to go "off thread" (apologies to "Bomber") but seeing that you are au fait with using the London Gazette (which I have never been able to get to grips with) may I ask a favour? My old SSM. "Busty Thomas" was awarded the MM some time before 1945 and I would dearly like to know how he earned this decoration. The only clues I can offer is that he was in the 4th Queen's Own Hussars at the time of the award. Anything you can offer would be appreciated Thanks Ron ps This might be him, I can't trace where I got this particular data. The Regiment was disbanded in Dec 1944 and I was retrained (in Italy) by the Royal Armoured Corps. Served as a Loader-Op with the 4th QOH from Mar 1945 to Jan 1946 (Italy, Austria, Germany) Finished up as Tech Cpl for "A" Sqdrn.
