Time Team UK

I love this programme it use to run on discovery channel, but not since a couple of years anymore only Channel 4 which we don't have over here, so recently obtained one of the DVD sets now available.

I injoined the programme about diggin up the spitfire in France, lovely when you see how they try to dig it with there background of diggin up pots, or grave sites.

But think its a good thing they also focus on WOII part

I remember that programme Philip and I was very excited watching it. After countless programmes of digging for Grecian Urns and Saxon Cess Pits (no doubt worthy to those with an interest in it!) it was nice to see something a bit closer to my area of interest. Now if they could just go digging in the Forests south of Berlin

I know they did one in Holland, but not WOII, since a short time I am working as a historical researcher for an explosive/ammuntion clearance company in the Netherlands and from that I am visiting a lot of archives and sites at the moment for example we are working near Lexesveer (Opheusden) always nice to have a look in the fields.

It would be nice to see them to do another dig over here but them WOII ofcourse, I know they did another one in the UK about 2 crashes US marauders, still have to see it.

The one they did on the two B17 colliding in Norfolk was good and how they worked out how the planes crashed into each other...

I was reading on one of the archaeology newsfeeds that they've just sold the franchise to an American station for a US version but no mention of when it starts filming.
Meanwhile here's the forum if you want to keep up to date-
