![]() ![]() | New Maginot Line Web Site All: Here is a new French web site - http://www.casemate-du-grand-lot.eu - with recent photographs of a renovated interval casemate near Thionville. The site is remarkable because there are numerous photos of the weapons and equipment used by the French fortress troops. Regards, Marc

![]() | What a fantastic restoration I look forward to visiting it soon, The good thing about going in the autumn is there is little foliage to hide the casemates, in the summer in can be a real pain to find some of them even when you know there location on maps etc

![]() ![]() | Be careful in the Fall. As nice as France is that time of year - dry and warm - many Maginot fortified works are on military land used by hunters. Don't get shot.
