Had a dig about, thanks chaps as I was meaning to find these pics! I know its not a headstone as such but does it count? Memorial to dead of Battle of Towton on Palm Sunday 1461, Wars of the Roses ? Also have a few others to put up that I forgot I had! The card on the wreath says 'Never again must Lancastrians fight Yorkists' 'Hail the Glorious dead' Regards Andy

There was a battle near where I live, in 637AD. When the railway line was being excavated the bones of men and horses supposedly victims of this battle were found. Don't know what they did with them, so can't photograph that MoiraFound this today and although not a war grave, a grave of a veteran of Crimean and Indian Mutiny.
