My Family At War

This is a new four-part series which will be shown on BBC1 every evening leading up to 11th November. A number of WFA, GWF WW2 Forum and Ypres Forum members have been involved in the making of this including Taff Gillingham, Soren Hawkes, Alan McDonald, Iain McHenry, Vic Piuk, Jacques Ryckebosche, and Jo Legge and her father Graham Parker.

The series will look at the stories of eight broadcasters who had WW1 relatives and will include names like Rolf Harris, Kirsty Wark, Kate Silverton and Dan Snow.

Historian and presenter Dan Snow, in the château where his relative General Snow planned his operations on the Somme. Thought the model-makers and wargamers among us would enjoy this one!

They are going to be repeated at earlier times on BBC4, I am told.

Don't forget they'll be on the BBC iPlayer too no doubt, I'll either have to video them or watch it on my PC as I'll be at work in the evenings.

I'm actually hoping Paul sends me a signed boxed set for Christmas.

EDIT I'm thick, didn't see all but the Rolf Harris one is on after I'm back home.
