![]() | Another curiosity. I was looking through my Dad's "Wartime Log" and became curious about the attached sketch. Perhaps someone can answer my questions. Briefly my father was an R.A.F. P.O.W. imprisoned in camps made up mostly of R.A.F. prisoners. One of his prison mates, George W. Hand drew the sketch of what I believe is an Army badge. My questions are, what is the badge depicted? Why would George Hand (who was shot down in a Halifax 19/2/44) draw an Army badge? Silly stuff really but annoying when things don't quite add up.
