Back to my post... Have sent for his records but I'm only at the start of the long wait. Just want to try and find something out a little sooner. The family do have a picture but it is back in Ireland with the Granny. She told me how he used to bring back toys made by the POW's

She told me how he used to bring back toys made by the POW's


I remember a German P.O.W. who worked at a farm near us. He made a toy of a wooden chicken pecking. The chicken worked by a weight suspended under a board and as the weight moved the articulated chicken pecked at the board.
