German POW

I have a letter written to my grandfather in 1948 by a German POW .
I tried to trace this man by contacting the German Ministry that now holds these records .
I was told that he was still alive but that he had just moved to Kenya and they couldn't trace him .
His name was Kurt Fleischer .
It occurred to me that someone on this site might have some ideas .

Thank you Owen . Didn't know you could do that .

I guess that his pension should be being forwarded , but they probably couldn't disclose any details .

I was just curious about what had happened to him and why he had remembered my grandfather .
