 | Japanese Archives I am watching again a documentary about the Burma railway . In this one , a Japanese engineer has returned with the film crew and he is showing photographs that he took at the time . It occurs to me that there may be photos and films all over Japan , taken home by Japanese soldiers who served on the Railway . Are there any Japanese members or visitors to the Forum ? I wonder whether you would know the answers to any of the following questions ? Is there any way to collect and copy private footage that might still be held privately in Japan ? Has anyone ever suggested this ? Are there any Japanese documentaries about the Burma Railway ? Whenever I see these pictures I wonder whether my father might be in one of them . Has someone in Japan got a picture of him at that time ? Linden |
