Stalag IXc, Bad Sulza.

Can anyone recommend a good book that talks about the RAF at this camp?

Regards,

Nick

This book covers most of the POW camps covering Bomber Command crews, including a chapter on Stalag IXc.

Thanks Peter. This book is very good with the facts but not so much with the individuals experiences which are so important. I have researched some of the escape and evasion reports and BBC details of the guys from here and this does give you a good insight into RAF POW activity but l am looking for one of the period books which was written by one of the recently released POW's which l hope will give more.

Bad Sulza was not as controlled as some of the later RAF camps in the activities undertaken, it was much more everyone for themselves.

Any ideas?

Regards,

Nick
