![]() | Shameless bit of promotion here, just to make sure my fellow anoraks- I mean scholars - are aware... ![]() I've started a social group on this subject just to try and gauge the interest. The idea would be to co-ordinate research on prisoners on both sides, and help fill out the picture.

![]() | Gordon, I've just finished interviewing a German ex-POW who was held in Cookstown POW Camp. It's on a two hour audio tape. As soon as I get it transcribed and checked by the gentleman I will get it to you. Bit of a delay though as I'm on a deadline to write a book on a British POW. ![]() | Cheers- I'll look forward to that! Also been contacted by a German gent whose father was in Pingley Farm camp, asked him if his father would like to share his recollections. Will let you know if/when he does.

![]() | reply Thanks for that. It's amazing what still turns up; the other day on e-bay, someone was selling a porcelain bowl found in Pingley camp #81, and still in nice condition.
