The Working Camp E580

Could anybody please tell me what would be the best way to start to find out about The Working Camp E580 (coal mine) Czeladz Poland

I believe there was an escape in January 1945 and the soldiers walked for 69 days ending up in Regensburg

Any push in the right direction would be appreciated !!

Thanking you in advance

E580 was a working group and not a camp. If you know the Stalag associated with E580 then there may be a file in The National Archive.

You could try the National Ex-Prisoners of war Association they may have some details - Good Luck.

Thank you for your reply 52nd Airborne !

All I know is what I posted I'm afraid ! so I don't know the Stalag .... when I was looking at the lists of camps ... it just said the Working Camp E580 (coal mine) Czeladz Poland ! so it's back to the drawing board !

I'll try the National Ex-Prisoners of war Association !
