Good find Kyt. Aerial views are interesting.

Jean, suspect you've have read it, but Ian Denys-Peek's "One Fourteenth of an Elephant" is an excellent, recently written book on the Thai-Burma Railway. Don't know if your Dad was involved in that but it might provide some good background info.
