I'll give you that one, Owen. My records show it as a Thorneycroft M1901 experimental carbine, but not knowing how different the two are, I think you got it. Doc

Its American i it. I was on a Enfield track with the twin post forsight and the spike baynet, looks quite SMLE 303 ish.

Kev, you are right-- British effort to develop a cavalry carbine. Definitely Enfield-ish and .303. Doc
