I prefer your name Miguel

At first glance I thought Sol was referring to the Tampon TR-3. Favoured by the royal family I'm told!

It appears that the Hawker factory had a lot of new ideas including this Slip Wing version of the Hurricane.

Hillson FH.40 Slip-Wing Hurricane Hawker built Canadian aircraft modified in the UK with jettisonable auxiliary wing to assist short take off and also act as an extra fuel supply. Trials discontinued in January 1944.
L1884 trials aircraft shipped to Canada in 1939 (re-serialled 231 RCAF), afterwards returned to the UK

Hi Tom,
I really wonder where they were going with this especially, as you say, trials only ended in 1944! It looks like they were heading backwards (Sopwith Camel) when jets were already in the air. Maybe somebody else here can tell us??

This was design work outsorced to German engineers who desperatly wanted to keep away from the Ostfront like the others
