RAMC museum details:

Keogh Barracks

Ash Vale

Aldershot

Hampshire GU12 5RQ

Tel (01252) 340212

Not sure if the number is up to date, even thought the camp is now tri-service I'm sure (I hope) the museum will still be there as this is the "home" of the RAMC in recent years.

I have looked several places for details on 1st Bn Durham Light Infantry as my nanna's 1st husband died while serving with them in WW2. I am determined to find someone or written evidence that remembers him but so far I have drawn a big fat blank apart from details below which I got from http://cwgc.org If anyone knows anything about him, has written evidence, photographs....anything as this man is proving really hard to find and I would love to know what he looked like. Any help would be really appreciated.

Pte John Langley 4453096
1st Bn Durham Light Infantry
died 15 May 1941 aged 21
Husband of Ivy Langley (nee Lidster)

I have quite a lot of unit, regimental and divisional histories for British and Commonwealth units in WW2, mainly for NW Europe and Italy. Am happy to look up specific requests for info for forum members.

Do you have anything on th 8th (Kings Royal Irish) Hussars, particularly around June 1944.

Hi - sorry, nothing specific on 81st Field Regiment. Their war diary will be at the National Archives in London.
