![]() | Hi There, Do you have any information on the 6th LAA Battery. They were attached to 27 Regiment RA as part of 30 Corps. They moved through Europe along with 113th LAA Battery from D Day + 10 as far as the Harz Mountains, Germany before being disbanded in 1946. [attachmentid=742] |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Sorry - nothing on them specifically. Again, the unit War Diary would be your best source. Just for the record I have a few RA unit histories, but probably less than 5% of those that were published; with 100s of RA units in WW2, many of them published any account. I suspect only the RA Museum in Woolwich has a full-ish set. Most of what I have is Divisional History, and some regimental histories.

![]() | Hi Paul I'm new so please excuse me if I get this post wrong. In your reference library have you got anything on 1st Bn The Buffs ( Royal East Kent Regt). I'm trying to find out when and where they and thus my Gt Uncle Howard Kendall saw action. All I've found so far is that they were part of 24th Guards Brigade which was part of 56th Div of 8th Army in Italy. Not sure if this is right and where they were before Italy Hope you can Help Keith PS I have a copy of The History of The Queens Royal Rgt 1924 - 1948 if that would be of help to anyone

![]() | Hi Paul I'm new to the forum and have just received my fathers WW2 service records. It states that he was in `Unit 7LFA' of the RAMC throughout 1940 and 1941. He was then in Unit 02E of the RAMC when he embarked from the UK in May 1942 for MEF. When the 7LFA was disbanded in 1943 he was in the 2LFA for the remainder of the war. Where would I be able to find out more information as to what he might have been doing during the war? |

http://battlefieldsww2.50megs.com/56th_division.htm There is a history of the division published by IWM which you can still buy from them.

Your best bet would be the National Archives in London, where you would find the unit war diaries for these Field Ambulances. See: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/
