![]() ![]() ![]() | Irish Regiment? Hi, Anyone got ideas about this man's Regiment? Blank sheet, never talked about anything ever. Several suggestions from family, none in agreement. Thanks, dbf

![]() | Where was he from, North or South of the border? If he was originally in the Irish army, deserted and joined the British army for WWII, his name will appear in a book produced by the Irish government after the war. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'd say Royal Irish Fusiliers. Wearing the one peice version of the cap badge. Unless what I'm taking to be the coronet is actually a mark on the photo. Last edited by Owen; 14-06-2008 at 10:00 AM. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi Hand to hand, can confirm he was from the North, and not likely to have joined Irish Army. Owen, great, this is in agreement with one comment. Not sure about the photo either, I no longer have original, but prob. not a blemish, This helps and there is a distinct possibility that he was in 2 Reg.s pre and during WWII. Thanks to both, dbf
