![]() ![]() | My Uncle Patrick Staunton Hi Guys, Are there medal index cards for WW2? I'm trying to research my Gt uncle who served in WW2, he was named after my Gt Gt Uncle, he died recently, I thought it would be a nice gift for his daughter. CWGC :: Casualty Details I'm trying to find stuff out without actually asking her as it would ruin the surprise, this obviously makes things a little difficult! Many thanks for any advice Soren |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Unfortunately Soren unless a WW2 serviceman died, there is no easy way to trace them and in most cases it means a letter to MOD, a long wait etc. No WW2 MICs available yet, sadly.

![]() | I know of a WWII survivor's naval service record being obtained after his recent death. IIRC, they are only available to close family, with documentary evidence required for relationship and possibly the death of the person in question. |
