![]() | This is a complete long shot - but does anyone know what happened to or where Staff Sergent Harold J Lee is buried. All i know at present is that he received a Purple Heart in October 1944 when he died. His citation is 'for wounds received in action resulting in his death.' But a telegram from the war office at the time to his family states he was kia in England? Very puzzling? Does anyone know where he might be buried or how and where he actually was killed. He died on 2/10/1944. Thankyou guy |

![]() | Unlike the CWGC the ABMC only lists the records of those casualties buried in their cemeteries or are placed on their Walls of the Missing. These casualties number a total of 176,399, and your man does not seem to be one of them. However, there were 405,399 American dead in World War II, so rather more than half are not on the online database! Why not try sending an e-mail query to: operations@abmc.gov |
