My Great Uncle

my great uncle made it throw to the end of the war he was on the bridge of lil he said in a letter to my great auntie they it was one the hardest part of the war he had ever been in my great uncle was walking across the bridge and he was told that the war was over just after he was told a german sniper shot him in the chest and kill him my auntie has the hanky that was in is chest pocket it had the bullet hole in it i am try to find out more about him and i am trying to find out what reg he was in
