Questions for Special Force Veterans

I've just finished writing book on the history of a local AA Battery.
I now intend writing the story of local Special Forces veterans from WWII.
The first veteran I will be questioning is from 4th Div Airborne, Italy and S France.
My questions will be geared towards their Hand to Hand combat training.
What other questions do you think I should be asking?
