Salute 2007

Just come back from my annual trip to Salute, the biggest wargaming event in the UK. It's now held in the huge Excel centre in London, and you feel you have walked half the city by the end of the day, but interesting and nice to see a new range of WW2 figures, which despite poor reaction on the Net seemed to be selling well and I was pleased with my purchase of them (once I have made them up and painted them will post some photos on here).

I didn't have a digi camera with me this time, just my phone camera, but a couple of images to share.

Some pictures of a nice Pegaus Bridge game from a Belgian club plus a close up of the Lancs in a huge dambusters game - complete with the soundtrack playing in the background!!

If you have never heard of Salute, see:

That was in the days of Kensington Town Hall. I also stopped going about then, and when I came back to it around ?2000 it had moved to Olympia; it then moved to Excell last year, and now resembles a huge warehouse! In that respect it has lost a little of its character, and I think you would be amazed at what is on sale mate. Shame there aren't more games on display, but what there were, were well done and most interesting - especially the Arnhem Bridge game in 1/35th scale!
