Hi,

can anyone tell me anything about:

1003 Docks Operating Company, No 3 Docks Group, Royal Engineers.

A relative of mine served within it during the war.

He was in this unit during the battle for Crete. He also served in 12 Coy, 3rd Stevedore Bn during the Battle for Dunkirk.

Did,nt the Docks Companies become part of what is now 17 Port and Maritime Regt. RLC. and were originaly 17 Port Regt RE based at Marchwood Southampton
