![]() | hello hi, i'm amy, wife to peter, mother of 2 boys. i'm tracing my family tree and have found a few people that served in the forces. i found the great war forum yesterday and joined that and then googled to see if i could find 1 for ww2 and i did. i have pics of my maternal grandfather in uniform as well as his record books, and medals. he was in queens own royal west kent in the 1920's. my paternal grandfater was in RASC during ww2, i have 2 of his medals, this is all i know of his career. my father was in the local TA in the 1960's,his records dont tell me anything more than his number and the time served. m 3rdd grt uncle was in he 18th BN durham light infantry during ww1 and was killed in action. |
