![]() | Hello Hi all, I'm Johanne, from Lichfield, Staffs. I came across this site whilst trying to find out the value of some World War 2 newspapers my Dad has asked me to sell. Any help/advice/ideas, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Johanne |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi again Johanne, I've been looking on Abebooks for various combinations of WW2 dates & newspaper titles and the prices do seem to vary wildly, mostly only a few quid but one or two more so. Interesting article on newspaper collecting from the FT here. US eBay buyers guide. The search term "newspaper collector" (including quotes) gets a lot of hits on google, some seem relevant, particularly if the search is narrowed to 'UK'. Good luck, Adam.

![]() | Hi all, Thanks for your kind welcome. The newspapers dates range from '39-'44 and seem to be mainly Nationals. I didn't think they'd be worth an awful lot - have seen some on Ebay for £1-£2 each. I have 57 of them and have one possibly interested buyer, but I'm really not sure what to ask for them! Thanks again for your tips guys! Johanne x |

![]() | Hi From my limited experience, local papers seem to go for more. I picked up a couple from the Channel Islands which talk about the 'heroic struggle in Stalingrad' for a couple of quid. Interesting reading the story from the other side! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Careful, as in the 70s a large number of National Papers for key dates in WW2 were reprinted. These are sadly worth very little indeed. They were printed on cheap paper, so 30+ years later they look like originals!
