hello all

hello everyone, first of all my name is melvin and I am hoping to find out some more about my late father during ww11. He never talked about his time in the RAF Regt(2777 sqn) very much and I have found out little bit,but it is proving quite difficult. I live with my wife in Reading Berks and we have 5 children between us(all grown up now),and are mad dog lovers.I have always been interested in ww11 and have only just recently started doing my research into my father. So if anyone can help I'd be really grateful.

Thanks All

Hi Kitty, I have looked through the website and I have e-mailed tom 3 times and attached pictures but for whatever reason I've heard nothing back. I've checked the e-mail address several times and I'm not getting it wrong. It's a very good site though. My late father is in the picture of 2777 sqn on page 1 of the 1940's to 1950's gallery

Melvin,
Print the photos off and use good old snail mail.
I'm sure they'd "have" to reply then.

"You were given the choice between war and dishonor.
You chose dishonor and you will have war."

(Winston Churchill made this prophetic pronouncement in a House of Commons speech in 1938, just after Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain signed the Munich agreement with Hitler. Chamberlain returned from Germany with the signed agreement in hand, proclaiming that "peace in our time" had been achieved. Churchill attacked Chamberlain's "politics of appeasement" in this and many other speeches.)
