I know what you mean about MG42 recoil.......its a joke every slug hits you...

But when we fire back with a bar or thompson all you get is muzzle flash and miss by miles even when you shoot a couple at a time......

I have 2Gb of ram a geforce 7800GT with 256mb of ram and the game still struggles so you had better have a good rig or the game chugs along

Mind you the frags look awesome when they go off!!!!

Don't get me wrong the game is definately worth the money, I just guess my expectations were a bit too high concerning the screenshots i've seen. It's just a shame the game starts out so nice and realistic and then these über soldiers entered and ruined it for me.

Marcus, you should buy it for the amazing graphics and new type of gameplay, but you have to live with the annoying flaws that's in the game.

cash13, I have 2GB ram, GeForce 7950 with 512mb ram and I too have some lagspikes occasionally, especially when there's a lot of firefight. It's a really demanding game

Shhhhh! Don't tell him.

Only because I wouldn't want to know. Keeps the suspence going. If you know THIS is your last level..... I dunno, it just kinda takes something away from the 'first time experience'.

Medal of Honour: Airborne

Finally played it last night and what a game!

The graphics are just superb and the continuous intense action made my heart feel like it had jitterbugs. Only played a couple of levels on my mates PC but it is without doubt, THE best WW2 game I've ever played. Even better than Day of Defeat (and that's saying something).

The parachute drop sequence is excellent and I like the way you can control your decent (stay away from the German troops on the ground).

Just an excellent all round piece of gaming.

P.s. It's not an MG42 the guy has in the later level, but an MG34.

cheers
marcus

My mistake, I did not bother looking into if it was a MG42 or 34, it was ruined for me at that point.
I don't really see how you can compare DoD with MoH:A, since DoD is online only. I'd still say give me CoD2 singleplayer anyday when it comes to the best ww2 fps game out there. But I have high expectations concerning Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway, based on the previous version I've played. But this is just my opinion

Just purely for the fun element mate.

I'm looking forward to Hells Highway too.
