Combat Mission own scenarios

Trying to knock up some of my own scenarios for CM & CM2.
Having trouble getting units to start off where I want them too.
I've put in the coloured zones for both sides but at beginning of a battle both sides line up either side of the playing area ignoring the set-up zone boxes.
Also how do I locate Victory Flags to the location I want them to go in?

For example if I want a German MG unit to be in a wood covering a lan how do I place them there on my map?
If I want the cross-roads to be a Victory flag location how do I do that?

Hmm, a while since I designed one of these Owen. I will have to have a look and get back to you.

Are you still working on this? I have gone back to CMBB inspired by all the Eastern Front stuff on here, and can help with this, if needed? Just needed a re-fresher.

Gerard & I just tried to play on-line, a total and utter failure.
My lad is busy designing maps for me, I'd just like to be able to set the forces up properly, what's the answer Paul?

Ok - you need to define each areas set-up zones, and then place the units where you want them by clicking on the unit, press space bar, and up come the options. Once you have placed them you can then lock the unit in place by again pressing space and selecting the 'lock' option. This will ensure the units only turn up where you want them

Also when playing make sure that your game options are 'stick to scenario default' otherwise the AI will move units around (unless they are locked).

Feel free to email me the scenario to have a look if you want, mate.
