![]() | I am just about to receive a copy of the first version of Brothers in Arms.... I am told it's much more tactical than either MOH or COD (both of which I like), but any other opinions?

![]() | Brothers in Arms is a good game. It has a good mix of raw combat with a nice strategic element too which allows you to control and direct your squad against the enemy or towards an objective. Both games (CoD and BiA) have their merits and it's hard to have preference over either. CoD is fun for when you want to run and gun (especially in multiplay online) while BiA has a more gritty, realistic feel to it. I have dabbled in multiplay for BiA but it doesn't compete with CoD, so I tend to stick with single player. The sequel to BiA (BiA Earned in Blood) is somewhat better than the first. The Ai (artificial intelligence) of the enemy is way better (they actually try and flank you and generally react well to your position and that of your squad) and the range of new weapons is also good to see. Don't be too put off by the controls of BiA when you first get it. It took me a couple of days to get used to it, but once you do, it feels quite intuitive and fluid. Let me know how you get on. Enjoy. Steiner |

![]() | brothers in arms is a very good game! Prolly just as good as cod. Im not going to start with crappy moh. Anyways i found that bia in much more realistic and has a better feel to what war is like but cod is much more intenste. If you lets say...just saw a war movie and feel like playing a game than you would prolly feel like playing bia but if your real bored and just want to do cool missions than you would play cod. Bia is more realistic but all you really do is take out flak 88's mg42's and tanks while cod is less realistic but you get to do a variety of things.

![]() | Well, here are the pros to BIA - Most realistic feel. ex. You can't run in front of a machine gun and expect to kill the guy manning it. 1 hit kills - Excellent Allies ex. Order them to fire upon Germans, and they fire, and kill. In Medal of Honor, they shoot at the walls. Don't believe me? Then go and zoom when they yell that they'll give you cover fire in the first level, Your Finest Hour. -A first.. A game on the 101st. Forget the infantry! This is the shock troops of the Allies. - Real missions. ex. Liberate and capture Carentan. -Your men's lives are in your hands |

![]() | It's a bit difficult to get into, but once you do it's a lot of fun. I died a ton before I figured things out. I like the way you can tell your squad to provide suppressing fire, or shoot at specific targets. The only complaint I have is that you'll sometimes inadvertainly send your guys charging right at the bad guys when you wanted them to stay put an fire.

![]() | I love brothers in arms. It is the greatest ww2 game. But don't expect to be extremely good at it when you first get it. I remember when I got BIA 1 I couldn't get pass the first level but now I can finish the game in a couple hours (or something like that)

![]() | I love the story of the 101st Airborne and of D-day. These to things make it very interesting to me. I love strategy with my action so this gives an equal amount of both. To be honest they were great games but I couldn't get over the bad graphics of the game for the time. I can't wait until BiA Hells highway comes out. |
